VINTAGE 2441 SIMPLICITY BATHING SUIT & BEACH COAT SEWING PATTERN

Simplicity 2441 sewing pattern for misses' and womens' one-piece bathing suit and beach coat : The princess bathing suit is secured with a slide fastener closing in back. The bra section gathers to the underarm bands at the sides and ties into a knot at the center front. The suit is lined and finished with trunks. The flared-back coat, seamed down the center back, buttons at the neck.

VINTAGE 8601 MCCALLS HAT SEWING PATTERN

Vintage 1966 McCall's hat sewing pattern (8601).

Helmets A and B have the same four sectioned crown. A (for heavier materials) has self-faced edges and lining. B (for lighter weight materials) is entirely self-faced. Silver discs are optional. Newsboy Cap C has five-sectioned crown with elastic at back, visor brim and self-covered button on top. Hood D is hand crocheted, 3 crochet button closing under chin. Mod Cap E has two-sectioned crown, headband and visor brim; inner headband of grosgrain ribbon. Cotton tubing trim across front is knotted, then looped over side buttons. Beret F has one piece darted crown. Headband with extending ends ties below center back snapped opening. Cap C and Beret F can stand high or drape softly to the front or side.

One pattern includes 2 sizes:

SMALL (21 1/2" - 22" headsizes)

LARGE (22 1/2" - 23" headsizes)

Simplicity 3234 sewing pattern for Junior Misses' two-piece bathing suit & beach coat. The bra is buttoned at the back and drawn up at the center front with bias draw string that ties into a bow at the back of the neck. The dart-fitted pants have a slide fastener closing in back and draw strings at the sides that tie into bows. Two large patch pockets trim the beach coat which has a one-button closing, contrast facings and short kimono sleeves that are finished with contrasting pointed cuffs. In style II a purchased cord encircles the waistline of the beach coat.
